OFFICIAL GAME CONDITIONS FOR THE PICK YOUR PRESENT CONTEST
("the Contest")
WESTERN CANADA LOTTERY CORPORATION

This Contest brings you a chance to win exciting prizes. This Contest will run and entries will be accepted until 04:30:00 p.m. CT, 03:30:00 p.m. MT, and 02:30:00 p.m. PT on January 12, 2024.

CONTEST ELIGIBILITY:

This Contest is being offered by Western Canada Lottery Corporation (“WCLC”) and is open only to residents of Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Yukon, Northwest Territories and Nunavut, who are 18 years of age or older, who have signed up as a member of WCLC's MVP Service on wclc.com or sasklotteries.ca and who have purchased any of the following WCLC Zing tickets: $1 Merry Money (Series 21394), $1 Oh, Snap (Series 21395), $2 Bah Humbucks (Series 25389), $2 Cashing Through The Snow (Series 25391), $3 $leigh Bells (Series 15355), $4 Christmas Crossword (Series 13134), $5 Peppermint Payout (Series 26287), $10 Treasure Tree (Series 16106), $20 Player's Choice Mega Pack (Series 31058), or $30 Countdown to Christmas (Series 36012), at participating retailers in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Yukon, Northwest Territories or Nunavut. All entries must be submitted from a computer or mobile device located within Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Yukon, Northwest Territories or Nunavut.

WCLC, Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis Commission (“AGLC”), Manitoba Liquor and Lotteries Corporation (“MBLL”), Saskatchewan Lotteries, Lotteries Yukon, NWT & Nunavut Lotteries, NWT Sport and Recreation Council, Sport North, Northwest Territories Lottery Commission, Pollard Banknote and Splashdot Inc. and their respective directors, officers and employees, as well as immediate family members of the aforementioned, are ineligible to participate in this Contest. In addition: (i) WCLC lottery retailers; (ii) the directors and officers of WCLC lottery retailers; and (iii) the employees and independent contractors of WCLC lottery retailers who are engaged in “Lottery Activities” as part of their work duties or who directly supervise other employees or independent contractors that are engaged in “Lottery Activities”; are ineligible to participate in this Contest. For the purposes of these Official Game Conditions “Lottery Activities” means any activity related to the design, production, manufacture, distribution, sale, prize payment, regulation, or investigation of lottery tickets.

Proof of age and residency will be required from all Contest draw winners prior to payment of any draw prizes. WCLC may also require a winner to provide the original PICK YOUR PRESENT CONTEST ticket portion corresponding to the Contest entry drawn by WCLC. The decision of WCLC is final with respect to the eligibility of any Contest entry and the award of any prize.

PARTICIPATION IN THE CONTEST:

In order to participate in the Contest, you must be a member of WCLC’s MVP Service and you must register for and then enter the Contest. If you are not already a member of MVP Service, you can sign up to become a member as part of the Contest registration process prior to entering the Contest.

A) How to Register:

To register, visit pickyourpresent.ca from a computer or mobile device located in Alberta, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Yukon, Northwest Territories or Nunavut to complete the Registration page and click “Submit” after having acknowledged that you have read and agree to abide by these Official Game Conditions and consent to collection, use and disclosure of your personal information in accordance with the privacy policy for the Contest.

Alternatively, you can visit wclc.com or sasklotteries.ca from a computer or mobile device located in Alberta, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Yukon, Northwest Territories or Nunavut, click the Contest link, complete the Registration page and click “Submit” after having acknowledged that you have read and agree to abide by these Official Game Conditions and consent to collection, use and disclosure of your personal information in accordance with the privacy policy for the Contest.

If you are signing up as a member of MVP Service as part of the Contest registration process, you will also have to read and consent to the collection, use and disclosure of your personal information in accordance with the MVP Service privacy policy.

Current MVP Service members can use their MVP Service login information as part of the registration process.

You are only allowed to register for the Contest once. More than one (1) registration per person will make ALL entries submitted by said person invalid. Once registered, only your email address and password will be required each time you visit the Contest site.

B) How to Enter:

After you have registered, go to the ENTER page. Enter the alpha-numeric 11-digit PICK YOUR PRESENT CONTEST CODE OR scan with your mobile device the adjacent barcode located in the scratch-off area at the bottom of any of the following WCLC Zing tickets:

and then click Submit.

Participants may enter a maximum of fifty (50) PICK YOUR PRESENT CONTEST CODES per person per day; however, an individual PICK YOUR PRESENT CONTEST CODE may only be entered once during the Contest.

A participant will receive one (1) Contest entry for every $1 ticket value entered for each valid PICK YOUR PRESENT CONTEST CODE entered by that participant.

BONUS GAME:

Participants may also have the opportunity to play the BONUS GAME (consisting of a Spin and Win game).

Value of Tickets Entered – A participant will receive one (1) BONUS PLAY of the BONUS GAME for every $5 worth of tickets entered by that participant. Each BONUS PLAY contains a chance to win one (1) to five (5) BONUS ENTRIES or a $50 prepaid credit card. A participant will receive the applicable number of BONUS ENTRIES awarded on a BONUS GAME.
Trade for Play (optional) – Participants have the option to play the BONUS GAME after at least three (3) Contest entries have been accumulated. If you elect to play the BONUS GAME using the Trade for Play option, you must trade three (3) Contest entries to receive one (1) BONUS PLAY. Each BONUS GAME play using the Trade for Play option will require a three (3) Contest entry trade before you can proceed. A maximum of five (5) Contest entry trades for BONUS PLAYS per day using the Trade for Play option is allowed during the Contest period. Each BONUS PLAY contains a chance to win one (1), three (3) or five (5) BONUS ENTRIES or a $50 prepaid credit card. A participant will receive the applicable number of BONUS ENTRIES awarded on the BONUS GAME. Important: If the prize revealed is one (1) Contest entry, you will have lost two (2) of the Contest entries traded to play the BONUS GAME.

Important: Any unused BONUS PLAYS will expire at the close of the Contest entry period.

There will be six (6) prize draws displayed each containing a different prize offered to be won. Each Contest entry can only participate in one prize draw and you must choose which prize draw you would like each Contest entry to participate in. A participant may distribute their Contest entries into the prize draw(s) of their choice. These Contest entries can be easily moved between prize draws up until the close of the Contest entry period. If there are Contest entries that have not been allocated into prize draws at the close of the Contest entry period, the system will automatically deposit those Contest entries into the Prize Draw #1.

Important: KEEP THE PICK YOUR PRESENT CONTEST PORTION OF YOUR TICKET. To be eligible for a prize, a Contest participant may be asked to provide the Contest ticket portion corresponding to the Contest entry drawn by WCLC or the BONUS GAME from which an instant prize occurred.

INSTANT PRIZES:

Two hundred (200) instant prizes are available to be won on the BONUS GAME over the course of the Contest entry period. Each instant prize is a $50 prepaid credit card as selected by WCLC.

Throughout the Contest entry period, two hundred (200) winning BONUS GAME times for the $50 prepaid credit card instant prizes will be randomly seeded on the BONUS GAME. The participant who plays the BONUS GAME and receives the promotional message indicating that they are a potential winner of a $50 prepaid credit card exactly at the winning time will be eligible to win an instant prize (and become the “eligible entrant”). If no participant plays the BONUS GAME and receives the promotional message indicating that they are a potential winner of a $50 prepaid credit card at exactly the winning time, then the first participant who plays the BONUS GAME and receives the promotional message indicating that they are a potential winner of a $50 prepaid credit card following the winning time will be eligible to receive an instant prize (and become the “eligible entrant”). Limit: one (1) $50 prepaid credit card instant prize per winning time.

WINNER NOTIFICATION FOR INSTANT PRIZES:

When a participant becomes the “eligible entrant” (as per above), he/she will be provided a promotional message in an on-screen congratulations message. The message will direct him/her to read the Acknowledgement and Release form, correctly answer, unaided, a mathematical skill-testing question and click on the Accept button.

WCLC may, in its discretion, also request additional information from an eligible entrant as part of the instant prize claim process, such as verification of his/her eligibility and the original Contest portion of the ticket corresponding to the BONUS GAME from which the instant prize occurred. If the eligible entrant does not claim the instant prize as described above before the Contest entry closing time, the entrant waives his/her rights to the instant prize and that instant prize will not be awarded, and WCLC has no responsibility to award a substitute prize to that eligible entrant.

Instant prizes not awarded or claimed by 04:30:00 p.m. CT, 03:30:00 p.m. MT, and 02:30:00 p.m. PT on January 12, 2024, will be null and void and not awarded.

Instant prize winners should allow approximately 6 weeks from receipt of required information at WCLC for delivery of prize.

DRAWS AND PRIZES:

On or about January 19, 2024, draws will be made from all eligible entries for the particular prize draw received during the Contest period. All eligible entries in the Regional Prize Draw (Prize Draw #6) will be divided by region prior to the draws for those prizes.

A number of alternate Contest entries will also be drawn from each prize draw pool. In the event that a winner drawn for any one of the Contest draw prizes is subsequently disqualified or otherwise determined to be ineligible for the Contest, the prize may be awarded to the first eligible alternate Contest entry drawn, and so on.

Each registered participant whose Contest entry is selected and deemed eligible will be required to correctly answer, unaided, a mathematical skill-testing question in order to be declared a winner. Failure to do so will result in disqualification of the Contest entry.

A participant can only win once per prize draw. Once a participant’s Contest entry has been selected for a prize in a particular prize draw, all of that participant’s other Contest entries for that draw are ineligible to win any other prize in that draw.

PRIZE DESCRIPTIONS:

Prize Draw #1 – Ultimate Getaway

Each Prize Draw #1 prize is a prize pack valued at approximately $5,000 consisting of a $4,000 Vacation Voucher, a DSLR Camera & Memory Card, and a Carry-On Suitcase as selected by WCLC, or at the option of the winner $5,000 cash.

Prize Draw #2 – Fit & Fab

Each Prize Draw #2 prize is a High-End Treadmill, Smart Watch and Over-the-Ear Noise Cancelling Bluetooth Headphones as selected by WCLC valued at approximately $2,730, or at the option of the winner $2,730 cash.

Prize Draw #3 – Gamer's Den

Each Prize Draw #3 prize is a 65” 4K QLED Smart TV, 2 Gaming Speakers & Subwoofer, Video Game Console and Virtual Reality Headset as selected by WCLC valued at approximately $2,770, or at the option of the winner $2,770 cash.

Prize Draw #4 – Backyard Retreat

Each Prize Draw #4 prize is a Wood Pellet Grill, Wheeled Cooler and Portable Bluetooth Party Speaker with 2 Microphones as selected by WCLC valued at approximately $2,530, or at the option of the winner $2,530 cash.

Prize Draw #5 – Luxe Kitchen

Each Prize Draw #5 prize is a Stand Mixer with Accessories Pack, High-Performance Blender, Premium Espresso Machine and Stainless Steel 11-Piece Oven-Safe Cookware Set as selected by WCLC valued at approximately $2,795, or at the option of the winner $2,795 cash.

Prize Draw #6 – $1,000 Cash (Regional Prize Draw)

Each Prize Draw #6 prize is $1,000 cash.

DELIVERY OF PRIZES:

WCLC will attempt to notify the prize draw winners by telephone and/or email as soon as possible after the draws have been made.
All prize draw winners must confirm their intent to claim their prize by responding to WCLC by February 23, 2024. Failure to do so will result in the winner waiving his/her rights to the prize and WCLC then attempting to contact the next available eligible alternate entry drawn.
All prize draw winners must also provide WCLC with the following on or before March 15, 2024: a completed and signed Acknowledgement and Release form and a photocopy of their driver’s license, or other suitable identification, verifying their age and residency. Winners may also be asked to provide the original PICK YOUR PRESENT CONTEST ticket portion corresponding to the Contest entry drawn by WCLC. Failure to provide any of the above will result in the winner waiving his/her rights to the prize.
Winners should allow approximately 6 to 8 weeks from receipt of required information at WCLC for delivery of prize.

GENERAL RULES:

Prizes must be accepted as awarded, are not transferable or assignable and will be available to the winner only upon compliance with these Official Game Conditions, verification of his/her eligibility, where applicable, and receipt by WCLC of all required information, and, when requested by WCLC, the original PICK YOUR PRESENT CONTEST PORTION of the ticket corresponding to the Contest entry drawn by WCLC or the BONUS GAME from which the applicable instant prize occurred. WCLC also has the right, at its sole discretion, to make prize substitutions of equivalent kind and value in the event of unavailability of any specified prize for reasons beyond WCLC’s control.
In order to be declared a winner, each registered participant whose Contest entry is selected and deemed eligible will be required to correctly answer, unaided, a mathematical skill-testing question. Failure to do so will result in disqualification of the Contest entry.
The registered participant’s name, age, postal code, daytime phone number, evening phone number and email address must be correct and valid at the time of Contest entry in their Contest registration to be considered a winner. Registered participants are responsible for advising WCLC of any changes to their address or phone numbers subsequent to their Contest entry.
Though reasonable efforts will be made to correctly identify and contact winners, WCLC reserves the right to disqualify any selected participant on the basis that a Contest entry is ineligible, an email address or phone number is incorrect or invalid, an entrant has registered for the Contest more than once, or WCLC is otherwise unable to contact or locate a participant who is drawn for a prize.
The chance of being selected in a draw is dependent upon the number of Contest entries received for that draw.
Participants who do not meet eligibility requirements or who have registered through fraudulent means or have provided false or misleading information will be disqualified. WCLC will not be responsible for failed registration attempts, technical malfunctions or computer or other errors for any reason whatsoever.
Draws for each individual prize draw will include all eligible Contest entries for that particular prize draw submitted by registered participants prior to 04:30:00 p.m. CT, 03:30:00 p.m. MT, and 02:30:00 p.m. PT on January 12, 2024.
By entering this Contest, participants agree to release and hold harmless WCLC, AGLC, MBLL, Saskatchewan Lotteries, Lotteries Yukon, NWT & Nunavut Lotteries, NWT Sport and Recreation Council, Sport North, Northwest Territories Lottery Commission, retailers of WCLC and WCLC advertising and promotional agencies (collectively “Released Parties”), and the respective shareholders, directors, officers, members, employees and agents of the Released Parties from any claim, loss, demand, action, cause of action, expense, delay, accident, injury or other liability arising from participation in this Contest or the awarding, acceptance or use of any prize awarded under the Contest.
Decisions of WCLC with respect to this Contest are final on all matters of fact, interpretation, eligibility, procedure and prize awards.
Unclaimed prizes will not be awarded. Instant prizes not claimed as described above on or before January 12, 2024, will not be awarded. Draw prizes not claimed as described above on or before March 15, 2024, will not be awarded.
All prize draw winners will be required to sign an Acknowledgement and Release confirming Contest eligibility and compliance with the Contest’s Game Conditions and releasing the Released Parties and the respective shareholders, directors, officers, members, employees and agents of the Released Parties from any liability in connection with the conduct of the Contest or the awarding of prizes before receiving their prize.
By entering the Contest, winners agree to allow WCLC and its agents to publish, and/or broadcast their names, likenesses, city or town of residence and statements at any time, and from time to time, in connection with the Contest for the purposes of advertising, publicity and promotion in any matter or media, without compensation other than the prize awarded.
WCLC is not responsible for commencing, continuing or completing the Contest draws or awarding any prize in the event of circumstances beyond the control of WCLC.
All draws will adhere to the draw procedures established for the draw by WCLC.
Any individual who tampers with the Contest entry process or the operation of the Contest or acts in violation of these Official Game Conditions or otherwise in a disruptive manner will be disqualified.
These Official Game Conditions govern the PICK YOUR PRESENT CONTEST and must be followed. In the event of any discrepancy between these Official Game Conditions and any other material, these Official Game Conditions prevail to the extent of the inconsistency.
